Prior to her election, she served as the Chief Deputy for the same office starting in January 2009. Her previous experience includes roles as a Supervising Senior Accountant for KPMG, Controller for The Harmon Companies, and a part-time Accountant. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Rose earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from James Madison University in 1984 and a Master Commissioner of the Revenue from the Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service at the University of Virginia in 2017.
