Kathleen Tysse is the current Vice Chair of the Falls Church City School Board, having been a member since 2022. She is a former elementary school teacher with a Master of Teaching from the University of Virginia. Her teaching experience includes working at an IB PYP school in Ecuador and teaching sixth grade in Charlottesville, Virginia. Tysse is a mother of four children in the city's public schools and has a history of community involvement, including serving as President of the Falls Church Elementary PTA and on the Mary Riley Styles Public Library Board of Trustees.
