Ken Weiss is a former Town Meeting member in Framingham where he proposed environmental legislation, including a 2016 ban on single-use plastic bags and a 2014 divestment from fossil fuels. He has been actively involved in local environmental groups such as Keep Framingham Beautiful and Energize Framingham. Weiss decided to enter the race for District 3 City Councilor after the incumbent, Adam Steiner, announced he would not seek reelection.
