Laurie Loisel has been a resident of Northampton since 1983. For over 30 years, she worked as a reporter and editor, primarily at the Daily Hampshire Gazette. For the past 10 years, she has served as the Director of Communication and Community Engagement for the Northwestern District Attorney's Office. Loisel is also an author, having written a book about the opioid epidemic titled "Those Left Behind: The Secret Club Inside the Nation's Opioid Epidemic". She is a longtime member of the Unitarian Society of Northampton and Florence, where she is active in social justice causes.
