Leslie E. Schneider

Leslie E. Schneider is the current Commonwealth's Attorney for Charlotte County, having been appointed by court order effective January 1, 2025, upon the retirement of the previous attorney. She has over two decades of experience as an attorney in public service. Her experience includes serving as a Regional Drug Prosecutor for Charlotte County, an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney, and working for the Public Defender's Office in Mecklenburg and Lunenburg Counties for over six years. Schneider also has international experience, having worked on rule of law projects in Afghanistan and for HAGAR International, a Christian-based organization in Vietnam, where she managed a transitional house for survivors of human trafficking. She moved to Charlotte County in 2001.
