Linda Jordon

Dr. Linda Russell Jordon has been a resident of Butner since 1992. She earned a PhD in Organizational Development and Leadership from the University of Arizona Global Campus, a Master of Science in Organizational Change and Leadership from Pfeiffer University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from NC Wesleyan College. For nearly 30 years, she worked as a Senior Sales Operations Director for a local pharmaceutical company. Dr. Jordon has been an elected official serving her community since 2004, including time on the Town of Butner Advisory Board before its incorporation. She was elected as the first Black mayor of Butner in 2023 after serving for 14 years on the council, including four years as Mayor Pro Tem. In addition to her role as mayor, she is an entrepreneur, leadership coach, diversity and inclusion trainer, author, and public speaker.
