Lynda Lloyd is a lifelong Newark resident, mother, and homeowner. She has a background in government and community organizing, having served as an aide to then-Councilman Ras J. Baraka and the late Congressman Donald M. Payne Sr. She also served as a South Ward Democratic District Leader. Lloyd is a graduate of Howard University and Baruch College and is a National Urban Fellow. She is the founder of Lloyd Strategies and the nonprofit Young Urbanites Unite (YU²). She is also a licensed NJ realtor.
