M. Susan Kimbrough is an educator with over 20 years of experience, including time as a K-12 teacher and as an adjunct instructor for aspiring educators at The University of North Carolina Greensboro. She is a National Board Certified teacher and a certified Reading Recovery instructor. Kimbrough holds a B.S. in Secondary Education and an M.P.P.A. in Public Policy and Administration from Mississippi State University, a Reading Recovery certificate from North Carolina A&T University, and a Graduate Certificate in Reading from the University of Colorado. She was first elected to the board in 2021.
