Mark D. Sickles

Mark D. Sickles has served in the Virginia House of Delegates since 2004. He was born in Arlington, Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management from Clemson University in 1981, followed by a Master of Science in Industrial Management in 1984 and a second M.S. in Technology and Science Policy in 1986, both from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Before being elected, he was appointed to the Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees, where he served for eleven years. He also served on the board of United Community Ministries for six years. In the House of Delegates, he serves as Chair of the Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee and Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee.
