Born in Chesapeake, he grew up in Midlothian and attended public schools in Chesterfield County. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in 2009 and earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2015. Prior to his election, he served in Governor Bob McDonnell's administration, worked as a clerk for a federal judge, and practiced law. He and his wife have served as foster parents. He lives in Midlothian with his wife and two sons. His father, Mark Earley Sr., is a former Attorney General of Virginia.
