Mary McKelvey is a licensed teacher in the Minneapolis Public Schools, where she teaches English as a Second Language, and a coach with the Loppet Foundation at Theodore Wirth Park. She earned a bachelor's degree from Middlebury College in 1990 and a graduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 1995. McKelvey has served on several advisory committees, including the Parks for All committee, the Minnehaha Creek Watershed committee, and the city's Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
