Michael A. Harris is a U.S. Navy veteran who served during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his military service, he worked as an engineering technician at Newport News Shipbuilding. He earned an Associate Degree in Social Science from Virginia Peninsula Community College in 2012, a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from St. Leo University in 2015, and a Juris Doctor from Regent University in 2023. He is now the owner and Principal Attorney at Michael A. Harris Law, PLLC. Harris is deeply involved in his community, serving as the Chairman of the Hampton Planning Commission and as a commissioner on the Board of Zoning Appeals. He was born in Tyler, Texas, and settled in Hampton after his naval service.
