Michael R. Guerin is a lifelong Republican currently serving as Vice-President of the Carroll County Board of Commissioners in Maryland, representing District 4. First elected as Commissioner in 2022, Guerin is running for re-election to his office. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Maryland. As a military veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve and U.S. Coast Guard as an operations and intelligence officer. Guerin also served on the local Planning and Zoning Commission. He has been married for over 25 years and has three children.
