Mitchell Cornett is a lifelong resident of Grayson County, Virginia. He graduated from Grayson County High School in 2012 and Southwest Virginia Community College in 2014. Cornett is a 5th generation cattle farmer, a small business owner, and a Realtor/Associate Broker. He has served for over a decade as a Nationally Registered Paramedic and Certified Firefighter with the Independence Volunteer Rescue Squad and Rugby Volunteer Fire and Rescue. He currently serves on the Grayson County Board of Supervisors and is the Vice-Chairman of the Grayson County Republican Committee. He resides in Independence with his wife, Kaitlin.
