Nadine Thomas is a lifelong Democrat seeking election to the Georgia State Senate to represent District 44 in the 2026 primary. She previously served five terms in the Georgia State Legislature, first in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1991 to 1993, and subsequently as the first African American Female to serve in the Georgia State Senate from 1993 to 2005. During her prior legislative tenure, she chaired the State and Local Governmental Operations committee and the Appropriations Sub-Committee on Human Development, and was Vice-Chair of the Health and Human Services and Interstate Cooperation Committees. Thomas is campaigning as a proven fighter for Voter Rights, Women's Rights, Senior Citizens, and Veterans.
