Naima Sait is a first-generation immigrant from Algeria who moved to the U.S. in 2011. She holds two bachelor's degrees from Université Mouloud Mammeri Tizi-Ouzou and a Master's Degree in Linguistics and Pedagogy from Middlebury College. Before being elected to the City Council in 2023, she was an educator for seven years at Somerville High School, where she taught French. Her experience as an immigrant, educator, and mother informs her work on the council. She has also been active as a union and community organizer.
