Neal Walia

Neal Walia is a Democratic candidate for Colorado House District 9, with a primary on June 30, 2026. He holds degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder and Denver, with experience in government affairs, nonprofit management, and community organizing. His career includes work for the National Governors Association and as a staffer for former Governor John Hickenlooper. He was Deputy Director of the Asian Pacific Development Center. Currently, Walia is Director of Policy and Government Relations for the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians, leading healthcare advocacy. He advocates for Primary Care for All, affordable housing, and public schools. He also ran for the U.S. House in 2022.
