Ned L. Gallaway

Ned Gallaway was born in Wheeling, West Virginia. He earned a BFA in Theatre Arts and Drama from Ohio University in 1996 and later received his Ohio Teacher Certification after classes at John Carroll University. He worked as a guest director and instructor at Shaker Heights High School. In 2002, he moved to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia, where he earned a Doctorate in Education in 2014. Before his election to the Board of Supervisors in 2017, Gallaway served on the Albemarle County School Board. He has also been the president of the Dunlora Community Association. Professionally, he is the General Manager of HoneyCar Charlottesville, a used car dealership. He has served on the Board of Supervisors since January 2018 and was the chair from 2019 through 2021.
