Nichole Richardson Armstead

Nichole Richardson Armstead is the incumbent Treasurer for the City of Richmond, having first assumed office in 2018. Born in Richmond, she attended local public schools and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Political Science. Her professional background includes 17 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond as a Manager in IT Procurement and two years at Virginia Credit Union. She holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Her father, Chuck Richardson, served on Richmond's City Council for 19 years, which influenced her commitment to public service. She is a member of several organizations, including the Richmond Crusade for Voters and the Richmond City Democratic Committee.
