Oliver H. Bennett is a native of Laurel, Delaware, and has been a resident of the Eastern Shore of Virginia for over 35 years. He attended Delaware State University. Bennett is currently the Supervisor for District 3, a role he also held from 1996 to 2003. In 2023, he was elected to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Board. In addition to his role on the board, he is employed by the Northampton County School System, where he teaches Agricultural Studies and has coached various sports. He is a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. His community involvement includes serving on the Eastern Shore Agency on Aging and the Accomack-Northampton Transportation District Commission, and he is a past President of the Virginia Association of Counties.
