Peter Macedo

Peter Macedo is a small business owner and a resident of Blacksburg for over 30 years. He first came to Virginia Tech to study physics and earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree from the university, the latter focusing on instructional technology. His career has included roles in education and technology, such as teaching computer skills, working as a technical consultant, and serving as an Associate Director at Virginia Tech's Institute for Distance & Distributed Learning. He is the owner of Blacksburg Bagels. Macedo previously served on the town's Historic and Design Review Board. This is his first time running for mayor.
