Rebecca Bextel

Rebecca Bextel is a conservative activist and small-business owner from Jackson, Wyoming. Born in Alabama, she graduated from the University of Alabama with a business degree and made Jackson her permanent home in 2008, where she met her husband, Jonathan; they have four daughters and together own and operate Mountain Business Center LLC, which provides real estate and registered-agent services. A longtime Republican activist, she served as a precinct committeewoman, Teton County state committeewoman, and an alternate delegate to the 2020 and 2024 Republican National Conventions, and ran unsuccessfully for Wyoming Republican Party chair in 2025. She co-founded the media website Open Range Record and the Save the Rodeo & Fairgrounds movement, and gained statewide attention during the 2026 'Checkgate' controversy over campaign checks handed out on the Wyoming House floor. In 2026 she left the Republican Party and won the Constitution Party's nomination for governor.
