Robert 'Rob' LaClair is a lifelong Vermonter born in Montpelier and a graduate of U-32 High School in East Montpelier. He served eight years in the Vermont House of Representatives (Washington-2 District, 2014-2022), rising to Assistant Minority Leader and serving as vice chair and ranking member of the House Government Operations Committee. Outside the legislature he served as vice chair of the Barre Town Selectboard, chaired the Washington Central Supervisory Union, served on the U-32 School Board and the board of Our House in Barre, and volunteered with the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department as president, captain, and interior firefighter. He spent 24 years with UPS (18 in management) and has ownership interests in Worcester Outback and LBJ's Grocery. He lives in Montpelier with his wife, Kim Ladue.
