Robert R. "Bob" Adkins is a current member of the Wise County Board of Supervisors, representing District 2. He was first elected to the board in 1995 and has served as chairman twice. A native of Wise County, he attended Pound High School and owned and operated a family automotive repair and tire center for 40 years. He now works as a landlord of rental properties. Adkins has also served as president of the Virginia Association of Counties (VACo). He won his most recent election in 2021.
