Sam Rasoul was born in Warren, Ohio, to Palestinian immigrant parents. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Roanoke College and an MBA from Hawaii Pacific University. Before entering politics, he was a small business owner and later the CFO and COO of a non-profit healthcare firm. Rasoul was first elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in a special election in January 2014. He currently represents the 38th district and is running for re-election.
