Samir Patel is an incumbent Superior Court Judge for the Georgia 7th Superior Court District Cherokee Circuit, seeking re-election in 2026. He was appointed to the Superior Court by Gov. Brian Kemp, becoming the first Superior Court Judge of South Asian descent in Georgia. Patel previously served as the first AAPI District Attorney in Georgia, appointed to the Cherokee Judicial Circuit in 2021. As a Superior Court Judge, he presides over a wide range of civil and criminal cases, including decisions on bail, criminal justice proceedings, and property rights. He is running unopposed in the general election on May 19, 2026.
