Scott O. "K" Konopasek is a U.S. Army veteran who served for 14 years as an Army Intelligence Officer, earning a Bronze Star. Following his military service, he had a 30-year career in public service as a county Department Head and Election Administrator. He earned a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University in 1983 and a graduate degree from the University of Utah in 1998. He has consulted with the Carter Center on democracy and elections projects and serves on the governing board of the Ranked Choice Resource Center. He and his wife live in Rockville, Virginia.
