Sean Casey is a candidate for Alexandria Sheriff General Election in Alexandria, Virginia — 2025 General Election. Running as Democratic.

Sean Casey is a lifelong Alexandrian. He graduated from T.C. Williams High School (now Alexandria City High School) in 2000 and earned a degree in psychology from Virginia Tech. After college, he joined the Alexandria Police Department, where he served for 13 years, rising to the rank of Sergeant and receiving the Medal of Valor. In 2017, Casey joined the Alexandria Sheriff's Office, where he was promoted to Lieutenant and then Captain. He was first elected Sheriff in November 2021, and his term began on January 1, 2022. He is a graduate of several leadership programs, including the FBI Executive Leadership Development Institute and the Police Executive Research Forum's Senior Management Institute for Police.
