Sedrick Kent Rowe Jr.

Sedrick Rowe Jr., a Georgia-based organic peanut farmer and researcher, is a first-generation farmer who started his career while at Fort Valley State University, where he also earned degrees. A Democrat, he previously served on the Advisory Committee on Minority Farmers. He is a candidate in the 2026 Democratic primary for Georgia Agriculture Commissioner. His platform focuses on promoting organic farming, modernizing the food system, streamlining farm aid, connecting local farms to schools, and leveraging Ag-Tech to support farmers and combat rising costs. He aims to build a resilient food system for every Georgian.
