Shawn Nelson has served on the Bloomington City Council since 2017. He is the President of New Spaces Remodeling, a business he grew up working in. Nelson earned a Bachelor's degree in Business from Valparaiso University and an MBA from the University of Saint Thomas - School of Business. He has been a volunteer for various community organizations, including Feed My Starving Children, Loaves and Fishes, and VEAP.
