Teresa Dunaway is the incumbent school board member for the Wylliesburg-Red Oak district. She has spent her adult life raising and caring for children, including working as a babysitter for multiple generations within the community. An active community fundraiser, she has led efforts to get lights for the Wylliesburg ball field, install lights at the Bacon District Volunteer Fire Department's helipad, and has organized events that raised thousands of dollars for local cancer patients. She is known for her frequent attendance at school athletic and civic events and was involved in reinstating dances at the local middle and high schools. She and her husband also raised their grandchild after their daughter-in-law passed away.
