Thomas Worthy is a Georgia native who has lived in Atlanta for 15 years. He graduated from Washington & Lee University and the University of Virginia School of Law. After practicing as a healthcare litigator, he served as an attorney in state government, helping to lead justice reform efforts from 2012-2016. He currently serves as the Chief Public Policy Officer at Piedmont Healthcare, where he manages government affairs, healthcare policy, and community impact programming. Worthy also served on the MARTA Board of Directors from 2017 to 2025, including a term as Chairman in 2022.
