Tim T. Snyder has been a resident of Botetourt County since 1979 and has lived in the Amsterdam District for 27 years. He grew up on his family's farm in Fincastle. Snyder graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and attended National Business College and Virginia Western Community College before graduating from the Roanoke College Management Institute. He is the Director of Technology at Virginia Lutheran Homes and the owner of GSS Computer Technology. His community service includes representing the Amsterdam District on the Botetourt County Planning Commission, a prior 10-year service on the Parks and Recreation Commission, former president of the Greenfield Booster Club, and a youth sports coach. He is also an Eagle Scout.
