Tod Clissold is a Manteo Commissioner and the owner of Poor Richard's Sandwich Shop on the Manteo waterfront. He was unanimously selected to fill a vacant seat on the Board of Commissioners in June 2022. Along with his opponent, he serves as a liaison for the town's Healthcare Task Force. During his time as commissioner, he has been involved in discussions regarding town ordinances, such as minimum housing standards, where he expressed concern about potential government overreach.
