William Travis Engel

Dr. William Travis Engel is a physician and a resident of Bedford County. Originally from Texas, he began his career as a firefighter and paramedic. He moved to Virginia to attend Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine, after which he completed a residency in pediatric medicine and advanced training in pediatric critical care. He currently serves as the Chair of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine for a major health system in Central Virginia. Dr. Engel is also a public school parent and volunteers as a youth sports coach for his children's wrestling and lacrosse teams. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Biomedical Science from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
