Aaron Márquez is an incumbent State Representative for Arizona's 5th district, a role he assumed in January 2025. Márquez is an Army veteran with two deployments to Afghanistan and the co-founder of the progressive veterans group VetsForward.us. He previously worked for U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego focusing on veterans outreach. As a Democratic member, he prioritizes education, reproductive rights, affordable housing, and economic mobility. Márquez is known for his commitment to working across the aisle, co-chairs the bipartisan Veterans Caucus, and serves on the Phoenix IDA board. He is seeking re-election in the 2026 Primary Election.
