Adele McClure is a distinguished Virginia public servant, currently serving as a Delegate for the 2nd House District in the Virginia House of Delegates since January 2024. A lifelong Virginian, she is the daughter of an early childhood educator and a Filipino immigrant Army veteran, holding a B.S. in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University. As a Delegate, she has passed over 30 bills and secured over $100 million in state funding for housing, energy costs, childcare access, and consumer protections. Recognized for her effectiveness, she received the EMILYs List 2025 Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award and was named one of The Hill’s Top 50 Women Shaping Policy in America in 2026. She identifies as African American and Asian American and is a candidate for U.S. Representative for District 7.
