Dorothy Mcauliffe

Dorothy McAuliffe, born May 2, 1963, is an American attorney and former First Lady of Virginia (2014-2018). She also served as the U.S. State Department's Special Representative for Global Partnerships (2022-2025). A graduate of the Catholic University of America and Georgetown University Law Center, she previously practiced banking and security law. McAuliffe is running for Congress in Virginia's 7th Congressional District in 2026. Her campaign focuses on reducing costs for families, increasing affordable healthcare access, and holding political figures accountable. As a U.S. Marine Corps mother, she emphasizes support for military families. She announced her candidacy in March 2026, driven by a desire to ensure the middle class is within reach for all Virginians.
