Kenneth "Ken" Elliott is a native of Tabor City and a U.S. Navy veteran who served as a hospital corpsman. After his military service, he worked as a firefighter and paramedic. He began his law enforcement career in 2002 with the Loris Police Department in South Carolina. He later worked for the Columbus County Sheriff's Office in the patrol and investigations divisions before joining the Chadbourn Police Department. In 2022, he was appointed the permanent Chief of Police for Chadbourn, where he had also served as interim town manager. Elliott has experience in various law enforcement specialties, including patrol, investigations, narcotics, and as a K9 handler.
