Lydia Lynn Christensen

Lydia Lynn Christensen is a Libertarian candidate for U.S. Senate in Michigan, running under the slogan 'Unchain Michigan.' Her family is from Ironwood, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (Gogebic County), where she lives today. She was born in Ashland, Wisconsin, because the Upper Peninsula lacked the hospital infrastructure to deliver her safely. She grew up in the foster care system and built her foundation from scratch, earning the equivalent of two degrees in computer science and computer programming before founding her own company. She is the founder and CEO of Iron Fortress, LLC, which provides sustainable energy solutions for artificial-intelligence computing and Bitcoin mining using solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. She is a member of the Kiowa-Sioux Nation and has connected her civil-liberties platform to tribal sovereignty and federal treaty obligations. She graduated from Appleton West High School and attended the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and Fox Valley Technical College.
