Mike Cox is a candidate for Governor of Michigan in the 2026 election. He previously served as Michigan's Attorney General from 2003 to 2011. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Cox earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan. Before serving as Attorney General, he worked as a prosecutor in Oakland and Wayne counties, eventually becoming Chief of the Homicide Unit in Wayne County. After his tenure in office, Cox founded a multi-practice law firm in Livonia.
